Logan & Mike

Not very often do I get to do a little idea searching before I meet with my clients. Normally I figure out what look they are after while I’m meeting with them and then give suggestions and then email ideas after our consult. However, with Logan & Mike, I got a heads up from their wedding coordinator, Julie of Middle Aisle, of their colors and theme. Julie mentioned the colors were true red, gray and white. The theme was modern and simple with the decor being mainly gray and white with pops of red. I thought it would be fun to incorporate that same idea and create a gray and white invite with some sort of a red accent. I found a font that was dominant enough it wouldn’t need a pattern to compliment it and presented my idea to Logan & Mike. They liked the idea so off we went with the concept. It’s a little more challenging than I thought it would be to design an invite with different shades of gray and no pattern. I relied heavily on the typography to add enough interest in the design. A favorite detail of mine was the silver envelope liner. Envelope liners add so much to a suite so I always get excited when I get to use them. The red baker’s twine wrapped multiple times around the invite added just the right amount of color.
